Eira furniture family
Eira is a family of home furniture pieces created from an intrinsic property of wood: its flexibility and ability to bend to form organic shapes that take advantage of this property.
It is crafted from plywood with a eucalyptus veneer on its outer layer and finished with a matte natural varnish.
The family consists of a chair, a coffee table, and a bench, all stemming from the Eira chair, which was created first.
The goal was to achieve the comfort of a seat using the wood's inherent flexibility, allowing the chair to adapt its shape to create a comfortable seat and backrest based on the body's weight.
Both the bench and the coffee table share components to streamline the production process and molds.
